Our Story
It started with one jeep
Yuspeak didn't start as a company. It started with one jeep, one family, and a mountain we've known our whole lives. Growing up in the villages around the Tengger caldera, the sunrise was never an attraction — it was the alarm clock before school, the fog rolling through on the way to the fields, the thing visitors came and paid for while we wondered why.
In 2014, friends passing through East Java asked if we'd take them up for the night. We filled a thermos, checked the tires, and left at midnight. Somewhere between the sand sea and the first light, they told us we should do this properly. So we did — slowly, one private departure at a time, never adding a second group to a jeep that already had a family in it.
A decade later we're a licensed, insured crew of guides and drivers who still live where we grew up. We've watched more sunrises from the caldera than we could ever count — and we still treat every departure like the first one, because for our guests, it is.
